We are a family- one sister and two brothers- and like many others, we began our work as members of a family wanting to continue our father’s job, namely agricultural trade. Two years after founding our company, life events separated us, and we ended up living in three different cities.
Continuing our work in this manner had become difficult, leaving us speculating about how we could both maintain our business and remain partners. That’s when we came up with the idea for “Fruitawa”!
Though we lived far from each other, each of us lived in a strategic location for our business, and Fruitawa became a line that eventually linked us together. The three locations were: Khorasan, the largest and most important center of saffron cultivation in the world; Tehran, the center of trade in Iran; and London, one of the most important centers of trade and business in the world.
We knew that saffron reaches international customers through many intermediaries, and this is the reason why low qualities of it can be found in markets around the globe more than ever. However, given our strong domestic and foreign relations, we were able to deliver this product from the hands of farmers in Khorasan directly into the hands of international customers.
As part of our mission, we feel strongly about educating international customers on how they can recognize quality products themselves and therefore make purchases with more confidence. In this way, the market for high-quality saffron will always be maintained for good Iranian brands. We visited the saffron fields, found the most reputable laboratories, and were sure that we would be able to undertake the task at hand because we knew what important and sensitive work lay ahead.
If you visit saffron fields, you’ll be mesmerized by the role of women farmers more than anything else- that is, of course, if you aren’t already amazed by the striking purple saffron flowers themselves! The story of Fruitawa is exactly like the saffron itself which begins to grow at the start of the cold season when no other plants emerge from the soil. Fruitawa also came to be in the fall- just as unexpected and just as encouraging. We are a family that is finding more and more friends along the way, and we hope that Fruitawa’s story finds a new narrative every day.
Taking initiative to educate customers on recognizing quality products so that it is no longer a difficult task.
Offering products with packaging according to the needs and styles of new markets.
Placing greater importance on the role of women in the cultivation and processing of this valuable product and supporting them in our team building.
We believe that what matters most in life is the meaning behind events and choices. That’s why the most important part of a meal is always the good feeling that comes with being around the ones you love, the ones you choose, and the ones who will add a few pages of vibrant color and flavor to your memories.
What Fruitawa pursues in all areas is intimacy with all- everyone who is connected with this group and the networks around it. From the farmers to the customers, we believe that intimacy and integrity are key values for good performance and high productivity in a successful business
We believe in being socially responsible. From the culture and economy to the environment and charitable works, we must play a committed and serious role in order to pay homage to nature which provides us with its products as well as a society whose well-being and development are the basis for the progress of all its inhabitants.
